TikTok removes "more than 1.3M videos" related to the Israel-Hamas conflict: TikTok provided an update on its enforcement against videos originating in the region of conflict between Israel and Hamas. In October, "Communist Chinese government-tied TikTok bragged in a press statement that it had removed 'over 500,000 videos and closed 8,000 livestreams in the impacted region for violating [its] guidelines.'" The platform provided several updates to this information since it was originally published. The latest update noted that "From Oct. 7-Nov. 30, we removed more than 1.3M videos in the conflict region for violating our Community Guidelines, including content promoting Hamas, hate speech, terrorism and misinformation."
