TikTok removes Sofia Carbone’s comment: Sofia Carbone, editor-in-chief of the news group, The Bucalupo, tweeted, “I factually answered a follower's question regarding ivermectin & TikTok removed my comment.” Carbone also included a screenshot. According to the screenshot, the she had replied to someone’s question about her TikTok video. Carbone’s comment says, “Ya it’s totally fine. It’s literally just ivermectin, which is prescribed by doctors. Just in paste form. It’s dosed by weight on the tube.” The content removed and flagged with a warning label. Per the screenshot, TikTok labelled it a “content violation” and claimed, “Comment removed for violating our Community Guidelines.” TikTok’s guidelines ban a variety of content, including content that promotes “hateful behavior,” “physical harm,” and “sale, promotion, and use of certain regulated goods.” However, the Carbone’s comment contained no such contained. TikTok did not cite what specific part of the comment violated their guidelines.
