Facebook fact checked a meme of an allegedly misattributed Dennis Miller quote: A user told CensorTrack via email that Facebook fact-checked a meme he posted that featured a quote attributed to comedian Dennis Miller. The meme includes a photo of Miller and an alleged remark that referenced the trial of long-time girlfriend of Jeffrey Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell. The quote read: Congrat-u-fk'n-lations!! You've charged and found guilty the woman responsible for recruiting and grooming underage women to be raped by men. Not a single male charged...only a woman. No one is interested in the men who raped these girls? If I don't see the 'believe all women' and 'pink 🐱 hat' crowd shutting down the capitol and protesting like they did for the Kavanaugh hearings, you're all frauds. This isn't justice for those women, this is a joke." Facebook flagged the post because the post appears to be misattributed to Miller. PolitiFact claimed that after checking Nexis news archives and reaching out to the talent agency that Miller works with it "found no credible sources showing that Miller said this." According to Facebook, users fail to click through a fact-check interstitial to see the post 95% of the time
