Irish right-wing political commentator on social media, Rowan Croft, has livestream deleted by Facebook: Rowan Croft had a Facebook livestream, during which he discussed his opinions about COVID-19, as well as the COVID-19 vaccines and the ethics of forcing children to get one, deleted from his page. Croft suggested in the livestream that officials forcing children to get vaccines should get "the death penalty" and be "hung by the neck." This is what Facebook cited, in addition to his purported misinformation about COVID-19 and the COVID-19 vaccines, as its reasoning for deleting the post from the platform. A spokesperson for the company told an Irish media outlet that “It’s against our rules to call for violence and spread harmful misinformation about Covid-19 and vaccines on our platforms.” The outlet also reported that Facebook would be “looking into people and Groups that are repeatedly posting misinformation” about COVID-19, and it will “continue to remove people and Groups that are found to be breaking [the platform's] rules.”
