Facebook suppresses posts containing #Rittenhouse during trial: A screenshot clearly showed Facebook's reaction to the Kyle Rittenhouse trial. Not only was the platform censoring users for posting in support of Rittenhouse, at a point in the trial it suppressed posts containing #Rittenhouse. According to the screenshot, this was because Facebook claimed to be "Keeping Our Community Safe." The warning message continued, "Posts with #rittenhouse are temporarily hidden here. Some content in those posts goes against our Community Standard." After Rittenhouse was cleared on all charges, Facebook eventually ended its suppression of the hashtag.
