Supermodel Paulina Porizkov said Instagram removed her post on Soviet censorship and propaganda: Supermodel Paulina Porizkov made an Instagram post talking about what it was like growing up under Soviet rule. "Having spent my childhood in a country occupied by the Soviet Union, I understand propaganda. In school we were taught that 'Russian were our best friends, come to liberate us from oppression.' The oppression from whom was never specified. ... Since the press was heavily censored, we only got the news our 'best friends'wanted us to get [sic]," she wrote. "I’m well aware what happens when you’re only able to see one part of a small picture. It becomes your whole world. With no comparisons, you know nothing else." She said in a later post that Twitter removed her post about propaganda for so-called "hate speech."
