Google News suppresses articles from right-leaning outlets: MRC Free Speech America researchers analyzed the Google News homepage at 8:30 AM on May. 2, 2026 to identify which media outlets were among the top 20 featured on the website. Although the right-leaning New York Post is a top news site, according to Press Gazette, none of the top 20 news articles Google News featured were from the New York Post. In fact, Google News did not feature any "right" or "lean right" media outlets, as rated by AllSides' media bias chart, in its top 20 featured news articles.
