Eighteen-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse was charged with first-degree murder after he killed two men and injured another in self-defense during one of the 2020 Antifa riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He was later acquitted on all counts. Rittenhouse posted a snapshot of an email he allegedly received on his Instagram account from video game company Electronic Arts (EA). The EA email said that Rittenhouse's own name, "Kyle Rittenhouse," was invalid as a username because it allegedly violated the platform's "Positive Play Charter." The reason given by EA, according to the alleged email, was that Rittenhouse's name could "harm others" or "negatively disrupt the game." The alleged violation was tagged in the email: "Violence, Terror, and Tragic Events."
