Facebook deleted purported James Lindsay post sarcastically poking fun at socialists: An unverified Facebook account purported to belong to best selling author and political commentator James Lindsay poked fun at a tweet made by The Socialist Party of Great Britain, according to user generated screenshots. The mocked tweet included a screenshot of the dictionary definitions of socialism and state capitalism with the caption "Socialism can only come about when essential conditions exist. Cuba did not have an economy able to produce enough for all, nor a majority that knew what Marxist socialism was and wanted it. There was also constant US resistancce. That's why Cuba never got beyond state capitalism." Lindsay posted a screenshot of the tweet to Facebook and sarcastically remarked: "They did socialism wrong! Stupid Cubans, not having read enough Marxian theory!" Facebook removed Lindsay's sarcastic post because it "[went] against [its] Community Standards on hate speech."
