TikTok stifles video criticizing the Canadian government: Canadian social media influencer Elliot Daigneault created a video criticizing the Quebec government for investing an exorbitant amount of taxpayer money into a failing aerospace industry in Canada. "All in all, it cost Quebec $1.7 billion to protect 4.600 jobs or roughly $370,000 per job," Daigneault said in his video. TikTok removed the video allegedly for "Misinformation," according to a screenshot shared by Daigneault on X. "In a global community, people will have different opinions—but we aim to ground those conversations in facts. Content is ineligible for the For You feed if it contains misinformation," TikTok explained.
