Instagram fact checked a user's graphic asking questions about the need for so many COVID-19 measures: A user posted a graphic pointing out the inconsistencies in COVID-19 measures. According to a screenshot tweeted by the user, the Instagram post read:

"If the masks work... why the six feet If the six feet? If the six feet works... why the masks? If they both work... why the lockdowns? If all three work... why the rushed vaccines? If vaccines are safe why the 'no liability' clause? If more people die from the vaccines than the virus, why use the vaccines? If we took two vaccines to keep others safe why are we now 'super spreaders' Why do the vaccinated have to wear masks again? If fully vaccinated people can get and transmit COVID why give them the vaccine passports and privileges?"

Instagram flagged the post as "missing context" and the recycled Lead Stories fact-check focused entirely on the first question of whether masks work. The fact-checker admitted "masks are not absolute barriers," however the same fact check claimed numerous times that "masks are one of the most essential tools used to stop or slow the spread of COVID-19."  According to Facebook, users fail to click through fact-check interstitials 95% of the time.
