Facebook deletes post linking to Substack article, calls it "spam": MRC Contributor Catherine Salgado attempted to share an article from her Substack account on Facebook. The article was titled "The Sacred Heart of Jesus Bled for Love of Us." This post celebrating the feast of the Sacred Heart was deleted by Facebook when Salgado shared a link to it on her Facebook page. The notice that Salgado received claimed that "[i]t looks like you tried to get likes, follows, shares or video views in a misleading way" and said the post violated Facebooks "Community Standards on spam." Salgado then attempted to share what Facebook had done. She posted a link to a Gettr post in which she shared a link to the Substack, and said "No idea why, but Facebook censored my article on the Sacred Heart earlier today." Amazingly, Salgado received another notice from Facebook explaining that this post was also removed for violating the "Community Standards on spam." Additionally, she was told that "Repeatedly breaking our rules can cause more account restrictions." It is unclear why Facebook deems a Substack post about a Catholic holy day to be "spam."
