He shared a purported screenshot of the notification TikTok sent him when it removed his account. "Your account was permanently banned due to multiple violations our Community Guidelines," read the notice. Fenton also commented on the ban in his tweet. "Over a million views. All the last 20 videos were simply US Senate debate clips or my positions. Banned from @tiktok_us with no explanation, warning or appeal process," he said. "I'm a candidate for US Federal office. Censorship is a terrible idea and against American values." The platform restored his account the same day.
