Bo Bice

Facebook deletes post from American Idol runner-up Bo Bice that called out Popeyes employee for calling him 'white boy': Facebook removed a post from American Idol runner-up Bo Bice, which he put on the platform to highlight the racial double-standards present in American society today. Bice took to Facebook after he had an unpleasant experience at a Popeyes fast-food restaurant during which an employee continually referred to him as "that white boy" and treated him poorly due to his skin color. After his initial post about the incident, which included photos and the names of one of the Popeyes employees responsible for the disrespectful incident, was deleted for purportedly violating Facebook's guidelines against bullying, Bice refused to be silenced. "Facebook deleted my post last night and in turn silenced the opinion of all of you and me who are tired of the racist double standards that have infested our society,” he said, according to blog TapHaps.com. Bice continued, “You took CORPORATE POPEYE’S side Facebook, but you should have checked the validity of their complaint,” adding, “You cannot stifle my opinion and TRUTHS without it being seemingly one sided.” Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen later apologized for the incident; Facebook has not.
