YouTube alternative BitChute kicked off Google Play store: An app that was created as an alternative to Google owned YouTube has been kicked out of Google's application store. The application stores from Google and Apple cover approximately 90 percent of worldwide consumer spending on apps, according to Tech Crunch. The app had over 100,000 downloads before it was removed for allegedly violating Google's "Webviews and Affiliate Spam policy." Specifically, Google claimed the app was in violation of the rules because its "primary purpose is to drive affiliate traffic to a website or provide a webview of a website without permission from the website owner or administrator."
