Facebook deletes profile photo frames that tout vaccine skepticism: Facebook confirmed that it removed at least one profile photo frame promoting vaccine skeptical sentiments. CNBC reached out to Facebook about the frames, pointing out one in particular that it believed violated Facebook's policy against vaccine misinformation. The frame included the statement "MY IMMUNE SYSTEM WORKS BETTER THAN THE" followed by a graphic of a syringe. A Facebook spokesperson confirmed to CNBC that the frame had violated its COVID-19 misinformation policies and was removed; however, CNBC added that the spokesperson did not clarify which of the messages were considered violations of the platform's policy. Facebook told the outlet that it is “looking into it,” CNBC reported. In the meantime, while most vaccine skeptical photo frames on Facebook appear to have been removed, some variations continue to reappear. "The number of user-generated frames that still exist with similar messages to the one removed demonstrates how content moderation is often a game of whack-a-mole," CNBC concluded in its report. Other examples of frames that were reportedly created but can no longer be found on Facebook include, "I HAVE AN IMMUNE SYSTEM! #MedicalFreedom” and "I TRUST MY IMMUNE SYSTEM! #NOTASHOT."
