Report exposing a Portland Antifa-linked housing collective that appears is being used as a cover for sex work was flagged by Facebook for violating its community standards on 'adult sexual solicitation,' yet the collective's ad for sex work was not: A post from journalist Andy Ngo that linked to his report exposing a Portland Antifa-linked housing collective, which appeared to be a front for sex work, has been incorrectly flagged by Facebook for violating the platform's "Community Standards on Adult Sexual Solicitation." Ngo was not promoting sexual solicitation, but rather just trying to report on it. Yet, Facebook still deleted his post. "We have these standards because sexual solicitation can make some people feel unsafe on Facebook," the platform said in its notice to Ngo. The housing collective only came onto Ngo's radar after it posted a viral Facebook ad seeking a "secret roommate" with distinctly sexual characteristics, which gained a lot of criticism online. You can find Ngo's full report here.
