Aaron Ginn
Case #
754

An essay from Aaron Ginn, a Silicon Valley technologist, titled "Evidence over hysteria—COVID-19" was stripped from the online publishing platform Medium. The essay, which cited academic research and government data, argued that public-health experts were focusing too much on "flattening the curve" while ignoring the economic impact of pandemic lockdown measures. Ginn's essay garnered 2.6 million pageviews in 24-hours, accompanied by a barrage of liberal criticism. Medium subsequently deleted the content from their platform saying that it violated their rules under a risk analysis framework used by Medium for "controversial, suspect and extreme content."
