Hunter Biden, son of former President Joe Biden and subject of the infamous laptop scandal, downplayed the mass censorship campaign that helped elect his father, conveniently attributing it to Russian disinformation.
Polling data from the Media Research Center in 2020 indicated that the cover-up of Hunter Biden’s scandal by Big Tech and legacy media swung the 2020 election in Joe Biden’s favor. Evidence from the Twitter Files and admissions from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg showed that these companies censored the laptop scandal after FBI pressure. But Hunter Biden has arrogantly and dismissively resurrected the “Russia disinformation” hoax in a new podcast interview.
Hunter Biden downplayed the importance of the scandal and censorship campaign: “Everybody has a digital life.” He asserted angrily that those involved in releasing the laptop were “convicted of treason for being Russian agents,” as he pushed the long-debunked theory that the laptop scandal was Russian disinformation.
Then he made another shocking claim. “Was there really a laptop? Because there really isn’t,” he ranted, referring again to the Russian agent disinformation lie. He also cited the 51 spies who lied by affirming the Russian disinformation narrative, but wrongly claimed there were a hundred of them.
“Yeah, it was a, you know, ‘Twitter took it down and Facebook took it down,’” he dismissed the mass censorship campaign. “You know why they took it down? Because what they did was they published naked photos of me and women, which is in violation of their terms and… is a criminal act.”
In fact, the Twitter Files revealed in 2022 the platform censored the laptop story after FBI priming about supposed “Russian disinformation.” Zuckerberg admitted the same about Meta platforms, and in August 2024, apologized for the election-interfering censorship in a public letter.
An MRC poll also undermines his claim about his scandals not affecting major events. As of No. 8, 2020, 36 percent of Biden voters were not aware of the evidence that tied Joe Biden to corrupt financial dealings with China through his son Hunter. Furthermore, 13 percent of these voters, which represents 4.6 percent of Biden’s total vote, said that if they had known, they would have not voted for the elder Biden.
Oh, so Hunter Biden thinks his laptop full of minors, drugs, and prostitutes is no big deal… because, hey, “everyone has a laptop.”

Yeah, Hunter—we all have laptops.
